Projects
The collection of fashion design, architectural drawings and designs began in the 1970s. The Project archives are located on the ground floor of the Pilotta Palace, where the CSAC Project Department opened in 1980. At the presentation of the 50,000 or so designs donated (which at the time constituted the initial nucleus of the archive’s collections with some of Milan’s top designers), an important congress took place dedicated to Architectural Design. This was introduced by Giulio Carlo Argan, and attended by some of the most influential representatives of Italy’s design culture, from Gillo Dorfles to Vittorio Gregotti, from Bruno Zevi to Giovanni Klaus Koenig, and many others.
